Just 4 hours from the UK, Cyprus is the third largest of the Mediterranean islands, and lays to the east with its thin peninsular pointing towards the Turkish mainland. To the south is the continent of Africa and the Egyptian coast. It is an island packed with ancient history, beach resorts and vineyards, where you can be as active or inactive as you wish. Strategically positioned, the history of the island has influenced its culture and development with many Empires, leaving a lasting impression, in particular the World Heritage site of Roman habitation at Paphos with its incredible mosaics.

A short drive to the north and you will find Mount Olympus, the highest point on the island. Steeped in Greek Mythology, this is also the winter location for skiing and often receives up to two metres of snow every winter, making this one of the few destinations in the world where you can ski and then scuba dive the same day. The Akamas National Park, to the north west of the island, has commanding views over the coastline and Chrysochou Bay.
