The Freedom Fleet

Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village has 4 of its own boats, the “Freedom” series, giving us the flexibility to offer tailor made safaris with a guarantee departure of only 6 guests. All these boats are used for the daily diving program and 3 are air-conditioned and ideal for liveaboards. All the boats have oxygen, first aid and Emergency First Response trained staff.

We offer everything from “mini-safaris” of 2 days / 1 night to an unlimited number of days to be able to experience the whole area in the north of the Red Sea. A week on board will take you to such famous places as the Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohammed, the wrecks of the Thistlegorm and Dunraven or, further to the Straits of Gubal with its unique reef Abu Nuhas and four wrecks on one spot!
These 'mini' safari's are combined with our land based option at Sharks Bay - Umbi Dive Village

The cabins these boats are simple but comfortably furnished. On all our trips we take a RIB for additional safety and also because this gives us the opportunity to dive on reefs where the larger boats cannot go. Safety is all important in Shark’s Bay; all of our guides and skippers are experienced in first-aid and environmental protection and participate in regular further training programs.

We require a minimum of 30 logged dives to join our safaris.

All of our Freedom Liveaboard prices include full board accommodation, soft drinks, water, tanks, weights and guide but exclude equipment hire and torch rental, Ras Mohammed entrance fees and chamber fees.

All of the Freedom liveaboard prices include full board air conditioned accommodation, soft drinks, water, dive guide, diving, weight belt, weights, and cylinders. They exclude equipment, torch and computer hire, Ras Mohamed entrance fees (per diver €5) and chamber fees (per diver per day [voluntary] €1).

PADI Advanced Open Water diver qualification or equivalent and 30 logged dives required.

Flights

Please note:  We can arrange your flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Sharm El Sheikh (flight days depend on the airline chosen) and we will charge a £35 handling fee for the service.  Flights from regional airports, e.g. Bristol, Glasgow, etc., may be available on various days of the week depending on the airline flying schedules.
