This is the entry-level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22 through 40 percent oxygen content.
Advanced Nitrox Diver
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers. This course covers topics such as:
As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. Your TDI Instructor will provide you with valuable information and skills, among the topics covered are:
Decompression breathing gases
The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.
Certain areas of the world provide spectacular dives at depths deeper than 39m but you will not have access (or very limited access) to helium. The TDI Extended Range course teaches you the proper techniques for utilizing compressed air as a breathing gas and with a maximum depth of 55m you won’t have to miss those dives. The Extended Range course will cover topics and skills such as
Equipment requirements and configuration
Use of surface marker buoys
Narcosis checks and management
Nitrox Gas Blender
In the TDI Gas Blender Course, you will receive a foundation of skills and knowledge that is needed to blend enriched air nitrox for recreational divers. After covering academic subjects including
Responsibilities of the gas blender
Gas production equipment and oxygen analyzing
You will demonstrate proficiency in blending enriched air nitrox and the proper labeling of nitrox cylinders.

Technical Diving at Sharks Bay
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer technical diving through a new facility open in Sharks Bay, Sharm El Sheikh. Chill-Tec Diving is owned and operated by Mark Chiltern, a well known and respected technical diver.
Mark Chilton, known to most as "Chill" has turned his dreams into reality by opening his own Red Sea Technical Diving Centre in Sharm el Sheikh.
Chill first visited Sharm in 2003 and fell in love with the Red Sea and the Sinai and his passion for technical diving quickly grew. He worked as a technical instructor and guide for several companies in Sharm; gradually building his reputation and skill level but always knowing that he wanted to start his own company.
After many years in the planning he has finally realised his dream and opened CHILL-TEC DIVING.
Having completed technical deep dives beyond 145m and up to a maximum of 165m, he is the choice of many Technical Instructors and Instructor Trainers who come diving with him on a regular basis to increase their depth limits beyond 100m.
Technical diving has fast become a popular extreme sport for divers to wanting to stay that little bit longer and go that little bit deeper in a controlled and safe way.
CHILL-TEC DIVING allows you to see beautiful deep canyons, drop-offs, walls and wrecks teeming with life, the way it should be seen, looking up with the light glistening down at you.
Qualified tec divers have the choice of exploring the house reef in Sharks Bay which has depths of over 100m or joining the daily boats and venturing to Shark and Yolande, the Caves at Jackfish Alley, Satellite Reef at Eel Garden, Ras Umm Sid, Thomas Canyon and the Wreck of the Lara to name but a few.
