Dahab Festival

Organised and run by members of Dahab’s expatriate and local community, events between 14th and 20th May, include scuba diving, freediving, windsurfing, camel racing, alternative healing and yoga, live bands, DJs and celebrations of Bedouin culture. Home to the world famous diving site, the Blue Hole, much of the activities centred around scuba and freediving, with try dives for those new to the sports, as well as demonstrations, workshops and competitions for more experienced underwater enthusiasts.

The festival in May 2011 was a great Success. They came, they dived, they windsurfed, they competed and they partied with the diverse community of Dahab on Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula during a week long festival in the Red Sea. The first Dahab International Festival of Water Sports, Culture and Desert Adventure attracted visitors from all over the world and across Egypt in a drive to promote and support local tourism in the country following the national revolution.
