The Tobago Forest Reserve claims to be the oldest protected forests in the Western world. This forested area has great many species of birds, mammals, frogs, snakes and butterflies.

Palmhaven is the perfect setting, fully equipped for your every need and comfort, away from all the hustle and bustle, but near amenities and activities if you want them. This is a great central base to make dive trips from and a cool retreat when you need to relax and recharge. The villa is secluded and private with your very own swimming pool and surrounded by beautiful plants and palms.

Palmhaven Villa is a lovely French Colonial style villa surrounded by lush hillside. Located in Patience Hill, a small, quiet residential neighbourhood just a few minutes from the airport, Palmhaven sleeps 6, in 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The beautiful airy villa has long, wide sweeping verandas with spectacular views of the lush valley and Buccoo Reef in the distance.

The villa is fully equipped with cable tv, VCR, bed linens, towels, crockery and glassware and a housekeeper 6 days per week. You may also choose to enjoy the services of the housekeeper's Caribbean cooking for a small charge.

At Palmhaven Villa your choice is to eat in and cook, or go out to a local restaurant, but if arranged in advance you can also enjoy the services of a local cook at the villa.

The cuisine of Tobago is indicative of the blends of Amerindian, European, African, Creole, Indian, Chinese and Lebanese gastronomic influences. Tobago’s most famous traditional dish is curried crab and dumplings, which you can find in a few restaurants and at informal outlets, also don't forget to try the traditional fish broth.

Tobago is famous for it’s varied bird population. You will be able to see many of the 210 species, one of which is the Banana Quit or Sugarbird, as they are called. These little guys are always around and can be seen feeding on the sugar and jam that is put out for them during the day.

Many water sports are available from Pigeon Point and non-diving activities can also be arranged on site with Toucan Inn.

Departure point for the daily scuba diving trips is R & Sea Divers, ideally located on the beach along the road to Pigeon Point, which is one of Tobago's most popular beaches.

Some of the dive sites within a short boat ride from the dive shop include Flying Reef, Cove Crack, The Shallows and Majeston. Heading north on the Caribbean side of the island, Mount Irvine Wall and the wreck of the MV Maverick are two of the most popular scuba diving sites around Tobago.

Visits to The Sisters and Speyside are arranged on request of four or more divers. If you would like to make a trip to either of these areas, let us know and we will try to schedule it during your stay.
