Photography Workshop (liveaboard)
Mark Webster is a world class underwater photographer and an established Photo-Journalist writing regularly for the major diving magazines. Whether your interest is in the macro world of the reef or capturing those dazzling reef vistas with a wide angle lens, the Red Sea fulfils both extremes and offers a myriad of subjects in between.
The Workshop Structure
This workshop structure is informal, Mark is available to help out and answer questions through the day. You will also learn from your fellow photographers.
This workshop takes place on the popular Juliet liveaboard and each day Mark will give a presentation on a particular photographic theme to promote discussion and questions and provide some ideas for your own photography during the week.
Mark Webster's Photographic Workshops are open to anyone who owns an underwater camera and has a desire to improve the quality of the picture they are taking.
You don't need to own thousands of pounds worth of lenses and strobes to benefit from Mark's years of professional underwater photography. You never know, you could have the front cover of the Oonasdivers 2013 Brochure as many of Mark's current and previous workshop participants can lay claim to.
The Workshop Route
For the 2012 workshop we plan to take the classic route from Sharm El Sheikh, visiting the best wrecks and reefs in the northern Red Sea. Once the diving is under way your weeks schedule is roughly as follows:
Day 1 – 2 to 3 dives
Days 2 to 5 - up to 4 dives
Day 6 – 2 to 3 dives
Sites will be picked for their photogenic qualities. Check out Mark’s web site for details of the proposed itinerary at http://www.photec.co.uk
Camera & Dive Equipment
You will need to bring all your own camera equipment. If there are techniques that you wish to experiment with but lack equipment then consider hiring before departure.
If you need to hire dive equipment then please contact Oonasdivers who will arrange this for you. Clothing on the boat is very informal - T-shirts and shorts during the day and as we are in the south these are also suitable for the evenings.
