The Privileged Romance rooms are located in the Adults-Only area and come with exclusive facilities and services. Each room features a king-size canopy bed with special room decoration and welcome refreshments, and a jacuzzi on the balcony. During a 7-night stay, privileged amenities also include a couples 30-minute massage and one reservation for a private romantic dinner for two.

The All-Inclusive package at Catalonia Playa Maroma includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited snacks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages with a wide selection of premium brands. Breakfast and dinner are served in the El Pajarito restaurant with a great variety of themed buffets of international and local food, and a wood-fired pizza oven. Lunch is also served outside in the outdoor casual atmospheres of Adelita & Toscana, with further eateries offering daytime snacks including the outdoor creperie, coffee shop and poolside food trucks. The five A La Carte restaurants require reservations (restrictions on reservations will depend on room type and length of stay) and serve a gastronomic array of Mexican, Italian and East Asian flavours. The Bloved restaurant is exclusive to Privilege guests for a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bar Palapa is the resort’s beachfront bar for cocktail o’clock with tropical vibes in paradise. The Margaritas swim-up pool bar serves cooling refreshments throughout the day when you fancy a dip and a drink, with a further lobby bar, Bar Tequila, offering a wide range of beverages in a sophisticated setting. Located on the hotel’s beachfront, the centre is open 7 days a week from 08:00-17:00 (including public holidays) and has a fully equipped diving boat ready to transport divers to world-famed sites just a short 5–10 minute boat ride away. Dive depths range from 10-40m with all dives being led by fully certified Instructors who take great pride in showcasing the local reefs of Playa Del Carmen and beyond. Local sites are home to turtles, moray eels, stingrays, angelfish and many more, while the nearby wreck of Mama Vina has been colonised by schools for barracuda. Bull Sharks visit the warm waters every winter to raise their offspring with regular sightings throughout December to March. Dive and snorkel excursions to the Cenotes can also be organised from the centre, as well as seasonal bull shark diving or trips to the fascinating underwater museum of MUSA.

Playa Maroma is located in the Mayan Riviera, in Quintana Roo state, southeasterrn Mexico – 35km south of Cancun and 20km north of Playa del Carmen. The spectacular archeological Mayan ruins of Tulum are 87km away and the paradise island of Cozumel can be reached by regular passenger ferry service from Playa Del Carmen. Punta Maroma beach is a stunning stretch of Caribbean coastline away renowned for its serenity away from the bustling crowds of Playa Del Carmen. The shallow and calm waters are home to spectacular reefs with their colourful corals, abundance of marine species and the chance to see migrating bull sharks during the months of December to March.

Whilst Mexico has a year-round warm and tropical climate with average air temperatures of 26°c, it has two defined seasons - a wet season and dry season. The dry season runs from November to May with little rainfall and 12 to 14 hours of sunshine per day. The wet season brings humidity and short, sharp tropical rainstorms with September being the wettest month. Mexico's official hurricane season runs from June to November with the highest risk of storms from mid-August through September.

Mexico's waters remain consistently warm throughout the year with the Caribbean sea averaging temperatures between 25°c in winter and 28°c in summer. Visibility is excellent all year round.

Regular direct flights operate from London and Manchester to Cancun International Airport (CUN) with an approximate 10-hour flight time. The resort is located in Playa Maroma, 35km south of Cancun - a 50-minute ride away.

The spectacular ruins of Tulum are 87km away and the paradise island of Cozumel can be reached by the regular passenger ferry service from Playa Del Carmen.

Tourists do not need a visa to enter Mexico but will receive a passport stamp with the number of permitted days, which will need to be presented when leaving the country. All passports should be valid for the trip duration.
