With 36 dives included, plus a dedicated day trip to Verde Island, this workshop is an ideal opportunity to develop your photography while enjoying some outstanding tropical diving.
  
  Meet Alex Tattersall
  
  Alex's workshops are designed to be practical, relaxed and enjoyable, with the emphasis firmly on helping each participant get the most from their own photography.
  
  The workshop will begin by understanding what each photographer wants to achieve and looking at their individual camera and housing setups. Alex will help participants understand what their equipment can realistically deliver and share practical techniques, ideas and advice throughout the trip.
  
  Alongside the diving, there will be informal group discussions, presentations and regular opportunities to review your images. You can discuss what you were trying to achieve, identify what worked and explore ways to improve your technique.
  
  The emphasis is on learning together in a relaxed, supportive and non-competitive environment.

  Scandi Divers Resort, Philippines
  
  Scandi Divers Resort provides an excellent base for exploring the underwater world around Puerto Galera. Located on Big La Laguna Beach, the resort combines a relaxed tropical setting with easy access to a wide variety of dive sites.
  
  The area is particularly well known for its marine biodiversity, with more than 40 dive sites offering everything from coral gardens and walls to drift dives and muck-style critter hunting.
  
  For underwater photographers, the variety is a major attraction. The reefs are home to colourful tropical fish, nudibranchs, frogfish, seahorses, octopus, shrimp and plenty of other unusual macro subjects. At the same time, colourful corals, sea fans, reef walls and schooling fish provide opportunities for dramatic wide-angle images.
  
  The mix of subjects means photographers can switch between macro and wide-angle photography throughout the trip, making every dive a chance to try something different.
  
  The resort also provides facilities for divers and underwater photographers, while traditional local boats offer convenient access to the surrounding dive sites.
  
  A Day at Verde Island
  
  One of the highlights of the trip will be a full-day excursion to Verde Island.
  
  Located within the incredibly biodiverse Verde Island Passage, Verde Island is renowned for its spectacular reefs and abundant marine life. The area provides another opportunity to photograph colourful corals, reef fish and larger underwater scenes, while also keeping an eye out for fascinating macro subjects.
  
  With Alex on hand throughout the workshop, the Verde Island trip will provide plenty of opportunities to put new photography techniques into practice.
  
  Your Choice of Accommodation
  
  Scandi Divers offers three accommodation options for the workshop.
  
  Superior Rooms provide comfortable accommodation in a quieter part of the resort and include air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, a safety deposit box, mini fridge, TV, balcony and bathroom.
  
  Poolside Rooms are located close to the resort's swimming pool and offer air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, safety deposit box, mini fridge, TV, balcony, bathroom and Wi-Fi.
  
  Oceanfront Rooms offer a prime beachfront position, with sea views and easy access to Big La Laguna Beach. They include air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, safety deposit box, mini fridge, TV and private balcony.

  The package is priced from £3,295 per person, based on two people sharing a twin or double Superior Room. A single supplement is available from £595.
  
  A £500 per person non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place, with the balance due 12 weeks before departure.
  
  Flights are expected to become available around May/June 2027 and can be arranged on your behalf. Premium Economy and Business Class options will also be available on request, and extensions can be arranged for those who want to explore more of the Philippines.
