The Rehendhi With views over the gardens and the sea, this main restaurant serves buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegetarian and ‘healthy dining’ options are always available; special dietary needs are catered for upon request.

Moodhu Bar & Restaurant Imagine listening to the waves and watching the fish gliding below, while sipping coffee or enjoying your favourite cocktail, savouring a fresh gateau or some canapés. Built on stilts over the lagoon, and cooled by the tropical breeze, this restaurant and 24-hour coffee shop provides a serene, romantic ambience in a lovely, central, yet secluded setting.

Diving Information

As with most of the Maldivian islands, the diving is organised as either a non-limit 6 consecutive day house reef package, or a 10 house reef dive package. Boat dives are booked and paid for locally for a supplement of approx $19 for a 1 dive excursion, $28 for a 2 dive excursion. Facilities include a PADI 5-star dive centre; The wonderful house reef is some 30 to 100 m from the island.

The house reef of Reethi Beach lies on a channel and stretches out along the west side of the island, a beautiful reef wall that drops down to 30m is waiting to be encountered. On the east side there is a vast Thundi (Sand Lagoon) with coral blocks and a couple of artificial surprises.

Due to its diversity and wealth of marine life, the house reef of Reethi Beach could be said to be one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Maldives.

The regular passing of spinner dolphins, eagle rays, schools of barracudas, batfish and thousands of fusiliers are just some of the highlights. You can also encounter turtles, octopus, lobster, moray eels as well as their black tip and lemon shark families.

The reef really comes alive during the evening, with visits from sting rays, guitar sharks and cobias which come right up to the shore at their daily feeding time.

For the boat dives, most of the dive sites can be reached within 10 – 45 minutes by boat (Dhoni). The furthest dive spot is about 1 hour away from Reethi Beach. You can currently vsist around 60 dive sites, which are divided in 4 basic categories: Thilas (shallow points), Outer reefs, Island reefs and Atoll reefs.

During the south-west monsoon (June – November) it's Manta season, and it's the best time of year for those magical whale shark encounters.

During the north-east monsoon the water is much clearer, means, the visibility is up to 40m and the colours seems to be brighter.
