The Red Sea is renowned for its exceptional visibility, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life. Popular dive sites in the area include Ras Mohammed National Park and the Straits of Tiran, where divers can encounter colourful reef fish, coral formations, and occasional larger pelagic species.

Diving conditions in Sharm El Sheikh are favourable throughout the year, with warm water temperatures and generally calm seas. The variety of dive sites, ranging from shallow coral gardens to deeper drift dives, ensures a rich and rewarding underwater experience for all levels of divers.

Being in the southern part of Sinai the climate is subtropical desert, with very mild winters and hot summers. Sharm El Sheikh is an all-year round diving destination, the summer months of May through to September can be quite hot so some travellers prefer to visit in April, October and November as the sea is still warm and the days long and sunny. Rainfall is rare, and even in the winter the sky is usually clear.

Visibility is great all year, it varies from 20m to 60m dependant on the site and the weather. In the summer months divers can hope to see whitetip sharks, hammerheads and possibly manta ray at the reefs of Tiran and Ras Mohamed, along with beautiful soft corals, scorpionfish, lionfish, barracudas, large schools of jacks, glass fish, snappers, and other types of sharks to name but a few.

Direct flights are available from several UK airports to Sharm El Sheikh, with a flight time of approximately five and a half hours. Transfers are typically included within the package and take around 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel.

A visa is not required for entry into Sharm El Sheikh for stays of up to 15 days. However, a visa will be required if guests plan to stay longer or travel outside the local area, including excursions to Ras Mohammed or the SS Thistlegorm.
