The magnificent Emperor Raja Laut is a "schooner style" inspired yacht built from tropical hardwood with fine accommodation for 12 guests in 6 cabins, each with en-suite, individually controlled air-conditioning and fan. Raja Laut means ‘King of the Sea’ and stepping on board, you’ll experience a truly regal sense of sailing.

    Embark on a 12-night Banda Sea cruise in October for an unparalleled adventure to rarely explored sites, islands, and atolls. Navigate through the Banda Sea, encountering hammerheads, pelagic action, and the legendary Banda Islands. Explore the diverse marine life of Alor, with opportunities to spot rare critters like frogfish and mimic octopus. Encounter dolphins and whales along migration routes between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Be prepared for varying water temperatures, dropping to around 20 degrees Celsius in parts of Alor Strait. Raja Ampat, located off the northwest tip of Bird's Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea in Indonesia, is a diver's paradise. Surrounded by turquoise waters and lush tropical scenery, it attracts travellers from all over the globe. The diving season is year-round, with visibility averaging 20-30 meters, making it an ideal destination for underwater exploration. From May to September, the region experiences more rainfall and rougher seas, while the dry season from October to April offers calmer conditions and less rain.

Marine Life and Diving Highlights Raja Ampat boasts over 1,500 species of marine life, making it one of the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet. Common sightings include pygmy seahorses, manta rays, wobbegong sharks, and schools of barracudas. Add to this vibrant coral reefs, various species of nudibranchs, and even the occasional whale shark, and you have a diving destination that promises surprises at every turn. The reefs teem with life, presenting a kaleidoscope of colors sure to captivate every diver, from beginners to seasoned professionals, including underwater photographers and those interested in technical diving.

During the dry season, nights are warm and balmy, while the wet season can bring cooler breezes. Regardless of the season, Raja Ampat's tropical climate ensures warm waters, minimal rainfall during the dry months, and sunny days perfect for diving.

We can arrange your flights from several UK airports; Heathrow usually provides the best prices and connections via Singapore. The flight time is around 24 hours, please call us to discuss your specific requirements and dates.

The closest airport is Sorong/Dominique Edward Osok (SOQ). Pickup time at the airport is according to your flights. Give yourself enough time to go through immigration and pickup your bags. You will be met by a representative wearing a uniform and holding a sign representing the boat, meeting point is at the main exit after you have collected your luggage. Check in on the boat is in the morning. The boat departs Sorong in the morning on the same day.

Your package is full board and provides 3 freshly prepared meals per day, assorted snacks between dives, water, tea, and coffee. Meals are served buffet style. The breakfast usually consists of bread, toast, pancakes, jam, honey, and yogurt, different variations of eggs, Nescafe, and tea. Food includes Western dishes, as well as International dishes to suit everyone. Water, tea and coffee are complimentary. Soft drinks, fresh juices and alcohol (cocktails, spirits, wine and beer) are chargeable. The catering starts with the dinner on the first day and ends with the breakfast on the last day.

For any special dietary requests, such as vegetarian or any allergies, please inform us prior to arrival. We source items locally, therefore items such as, but not limited to; wholemeal pastas or flour, gluten free products or soya substitutes are not typically available.

Alcohol is available to purchase on board and guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol on board. Guests will not be permitted to dive after consuming alcohol or under the influence of a hangover as this seriously impairs your judgement and increases your risk of decompression sickness.
