The resort provides access to more than 90 dive sites spread across several regions, with most locations reached within 15 to 50 minutes by boat, offering both convenience and variety for divers.

The nutrient-rich waters support an exceptional diversity of marine life, including an abundance of colourful soft corals, reef sharks, turtles, and large schools of tropical fish. With hundreds of coral species and thousands of fish species recorded in the area, the underwater scenery ranges from intricate macro life on shallow reefs to dramatic walls, pinnacles, and exhilarating drift dives through channels.

Diving experiences are suitable for all levels, from beginners exploring sheltered reefs to experienced divers seeking more challenging sites with stronger currents and pelagic encounters. The resort’s on-site dive centre, Ra Divers, operates a fleet of purpose-built boats and provides professional guidance, ensuring a safe, well-organised, and rewarding diving experience.

Overall, Volivoli Beach Resort offers a combination of easy access, rich biodiversity, and consistently high-quality dive conditions, positioning it as one of Fiji’s premier destinations for underwater exploration.

Fiji lies in the heart of the South Pacific and enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round, with two main seasons: a dry season and a wet season. The most popular time to visit is from May to October, when conditions are generally drier and slightly cooler, although Fiji offers excellent diving throughout the year with consistently rich marine life. Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 metres, with some sites in areas like Bligh Water and the outer reefs offering exceptional clarity depending on conditions.

Fiji is world-renowned for its soft coral reefs and vibrant underwater landscapes, often referred to as the “soft coral capital of the world.” The nutrient-rich currents support an incredible diversity of marine life, including reef sharks, turtles, barracuda, and large schools of tropical fish. Dive sites range from colourful coral gardens and gentle slopes to dramatic walls, pinnacles, and exhilarating drift dives through channels. Areas such as Bligh Water are particularly famous for their dense coral coverage and pelagic action, while other regions offer macro life and sheltered reef diving suitable for all levels.

Average temperatures in the dry season (May–October): Air 24–27°C / Sea 25–27°C
Average temperatures in the wet season (November–April): Air 26–30°C / Sea 27–29°C

Fiji is easily accessible via Nadi International Airport (NAN), the country’s main gateway, located on the western side of the main island, Viti Levu. There are regular international flights from major hubs such as Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and parts of Asia, making it well connected despite its remote South Pacific location.

From the UK and Europe, travel typically involves one or two stopovers, commonly via Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, or Dubai, with total travel time ranging from approximately 20 to 30 hours depending on the route. Travellers from Australia and New Zealand benefit from shorter direct flights of around 3 to 5 hours.

Upon arrival in Nadi, transfers to resorts vary depending on location. For resorts on the main island, such as those in the northern region of Viti Levu, transfers are usually by road and can take between 2.5 to 3.5 hours. For more remote islands, onward travel may involve a domestic flight, helicopter transfer, or boat transfer.

Overall, reaching Fiji is straightforward with well-organised connections, and once in the country, a range of transfer options ensures smooth onward travel to resorts and dive destinations.
