When we learned that governments worldwide, as well as the UK had begun to ease travel restrictions we could barely contain our excitement!



  • All of those amazing destinations, amazing resorts, and amazing dive sites were getting so close now you could almost taste them!

    Its going to take a little while for each country to re-open its borders, and we have all been so patient, but destinations and resorts can only open when they are ready and confident that guests can relax and have the holiday that may have had to be cancelled, postponed, or the one we were planning for the future.

    Below is the current status of the countries offered by Oonasdivers, please note the information is constantly being monitored and updated.

    It’s a slow start, but it’s a start, and things are beginning to move much more quickly now. There is light at the end of the tunnel which is getting closer and closer each day… welcome back wonderful world, oh how we have missed you!



  • Lanzarote

    Lanzarote reopened its international borders 4th July. Currently you will be temperature checked on arrival, have a visual health check, and you will be required to complete a Covid-19 self-declaration that will also be used for track and trace.

    You will be required to quarantine for 14 days on return to the UK.

    Flights are currently available, and Safari Diving can’t wait to see you!

    Malta & Gozo

    Malta & Gozo reopened its international borders 1st July. Currently you will be temperature checked on arrival, and you will be required to complete a Covid-19 self-declaration that will also be used for track and trace.

    You do not need to self-isolate on arrival, or on return.

    Flights are currently available, Maltaqua have really missed you.

    Egypt

    Egypt reopened its international borders 1st July. Currently you will be temperature checked on arrival, and you will be required to complete a Covid-19 self-declaration that will also be used for track and trace. Some resorts may have additional protocols and we can discuss this with you case by case.

    You do not need to self-isolate on arrival, however you currently need to self-isolate for 14 days when you return to the UK.

    Marsa Shagra is open, Wadi Lahami opens 1st August, Nakari is planning to re-open its doors and arms to you all September. The entire team are waiting to greet you!

    Emperor liveaboards are currently sailing and still have some availability for 2020.

    Direct flights into Hurghada, Sharm and Marsa Alam are available from September,

    Cyprus

    From 1 August you will need to provide a negative PCR test on arrival, obtained within 72 hours before travel. The Cyprus Ministry of Health have advised that COVID-test results can be in the form of an email or SMS, but must;

    1) include the date and time when the test was taken

    2) state the type of test, which should be PCR.

    All travellers to Cyprus must complete a Cyprus Flight Pass before travelling, available on the Cyprus Flight Pass website https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/en/application-process

    You will be responsible for ensuring your PCR test result is uploaded to Cyprus Flight Pass 24 hours prior to departure. You will then be asked to present this prior to boarding and on arrival at immigration.



  • Maldives

    Maldives reopened its international borders 15th July. Currently you will be temperature checked on arrival, and you will be required to complete a Covid-19 self-declaration that will also be used for track and trace.

    You do not need to self-isolate on arrival, however you currently need to self-isolate for 14 days when you return to the UK.

    Emperor liveaboards welcome you on board from the 9th August, many resorts are already open, some plan to re-open September.

    International flights are available on selected airlines from 1st August and may be subject to additional local protocols. We will discuss this with you at point of enquiry.

    South Africa

    South Africa has not yet opened its international border.

    Mozambique

    Mozambique has not yet opened its international border.

    Tobago

    Although an airbridge has been created by the UK so you do not need to self-isolate on your return, Tobago has not yet opened its international border.

    Philippines

    The Philippines have not yet opened its international border.

    Indonesia

    Indonesia has not yet opened its international border.
