Situated on the south side of Bunaken island and set amongst the hillside overlooking the mangrove-lined bay of Liang beach, this area is part of Bunaken National Marine Park - home to some of the richest marine biodiversity and most beautiful wall diving in the world, and globally-renowned for its spectacular steep drop-offs and record number of coral species. Whilst the diving and snorkelling in Bunaken is a guaranteed holiday highlight alone, the extraordinary placement and quality of this resort is the perfect complement for an unforgettable trip.

Each of the 12 luxurious and traditionally-built cottages exude tasteful elegance with their wood-crafted and authentic décor, large boutique-style bathroom, air-conditioning, mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker and coffee machine. Perfectly positioned within five hectares of moss-green landscape, each cottage also comes with free onsite laundry service and a large private balcony to enjoy the spectacular outlook.

The resort’s elevated restaurant offers an impressive gourmet menu with an equally impressive panoramic view. Guests can expect a fantastic ambience and attentive service while savouring dishes of Asian, Western and International fare from the A La Carte menu with its varied offerings which change from one day to the next. A few steps along from the restaurant is the casual vibe of the Cocktail Bar with its extensive range of fabulous cocktails, fine wines and alcohol beverages - the sunset from here is magical and not to be missed!

Bunaken is not all about the diving. A 90 sqm two-bedroom, luxury cottage is available for guests wanting extra space across two seperate bedrooms. Traditionally-built, the cottage offers exceptional space and comfort with a large private balcony providing breathtaking panoramic views.

Your stay at Bunaken Resort and Spa is on a full board basis comprising of breakfast, lunch, snacks and a la carte dinner. Unlimited tea, coffee and drinking water are available in the cottages and on the dive boats. Meals are served in the resort’s impressive panoramic restaurant with a gourmet menu offering Indonesian, international and western cuisine. The restaurant has a relaxed dress code and special dietary requirements can be catered to on request.

Please note that alcoholic and soft drinks, spa treatments and gratuities are not included in the package.

Diving with the resort’s PADI-affiliated onsite dive centre is no exception to the high levels of standard with a team who work with tireless passion to bring the beauty of the ocean to life. Bunaken National Park is considered one of the best dive destinations in the world and offers 89,000 hectares of spectacular depths filled with over 2000 species of coral reef fish, approximately 400 species of hard coral and turtles galore! An area so abundantly rich in marine life that it resembles a real-life oceanic aquarium. Bunaken is home to over 30 spectacular dive sites and provides easy access to several more - many of which are within a short boat ride from the resort’s private jetty, with notable sites including Muka Kampung, Lekuan 1, 2 & 3, Tanjung 1 & 2, Tanjung Parigi, Rons Point, Fukui, Muka Two Frish, Bunaken Timur and Sachiko.

From the world-class walls for which Bunaken is renowned to the muck paradise of Manado, you are never far from a shining example of these waters’ accolade. Expect dramatic-drop offs combined with sloping areas of vibrant walls bursting with colour and life. You will find stunning coral gardens at the top of the reefs with coral-encrusted walls hiding many a critter treasure, including nudibranchs, lionfish, shrimps and whip gobies. Mesmerise the impressive number of green and hawksbill turtles casually cruising around the waters and enjoy spotting kaleidoscopic offerings including damsel fish, sweetlips, butterflyfish, fusiliers and many more. With depths of 600m in some places, there is plenty of opportunity to go deep and encounter larger pelagics, while in shallower grounds, you can marvel at the macro and enjoy exceptional wide-angle photography opportunities.

With so much to see, the team are on hand to guide you to the best sites and uncover some of the finest delights that the area has to offer. Dive boats are luxuriosly spacious, newly-built and extremely comfortable (including a 17m fibreglass catarmaran) with hot towels and refreshements provided between dives. The staff will take care of your every need to leave you to simply dive and relax.

Amenities within the PADI dive centre include a large and comfortable classroom, a spacious camera room and several freshwater rinse tanks. PADI diving courses range from Discover Scuba Diving to Dive Master, and a full range of diving equipment is available to hire.The Full Diving package comes with 3 dives a day, however, there is also the option of a reduced diving package for guests looking for fewer dives during their stay (minimum stay conditions apply). Additional diving or guided snorkelling from the dive boats can be arranged at resort. Guaranteeing a small ratio of guide to divers, you will always feel like you are getting an excellent and personable service.

North Sulawesi is a province located at the northern tip of the island of Sulawesi, Manado is the capital city. Bunaken island is situated 30-minutes by boat from Manado, and together with Siladen, Manado Tua, Mantehage and Nain islands, this area forms the Bunaken National Park – an area of outstanding marine beauty with some of the richest diversity in the world. Land and sea temperatures remain generally consistent with good diving conditions all year round, however, the dry season which runs from May to October is considered the best time to visit. Average temperatures in Summer (April-October):

We can arrange your flights from several UK airports; Heathrow usually provides the best prices and connections via Singapore. There is a Manchester flight option available, however, this is not a daily service. The flight time is around 24 hours, please call us to discuss your specific requirements and dates.

The nearest airport to the resort is Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado. You will be met at Manado by a representative from Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort and driven to a port in Manado, approximately 40-minutes away. Thereafter, you will be taken a further 30-minutes by boat to the resort. All transfers to and from Manado airport to Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort are included in your package.

You do not require a VISA to enter Indonesia unless you intend to stay for more than 30 days.
