Allegro Playacar All Inclusive Resort is a four-star beachfront hotel located within the secure and palm-lined Playacar complex in Playa del Carmen, on Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Set amid tropical gardens and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the resort offers a relaxed yet lively atmosphere suited to families, couples and groups. Accommodation is arranged in low-rise buildings, with bright and comfortable rooms featuring modern amenities and either garden or resort views.

The resort operates on an all-inclusive basis, offering a variety of dining options including buffet and à la carte restaurants serving international and Mexican cuisine. Several bars are spread throughout the property, including a swim-up bar by the main pool. These 280 square feet rooms come equipped with a king size bed or 2 double beds. They all have a balcony or terrace with a hammock to relax and contemplate the lush gardens.

Guests at Allegro Playacar have access to the professional PADI Pro Dive International centre located on the resort’s beachfront, offering a wide range of diving experiences suitable for all levels of certification. The centre provides local reef dives along the Riviera Maya, including shallow coral gardens and deeper sites such as Barracuda and Tortugas reefs, as well as unique explorations of inland cenotes, where crystal-clear freshwater and striking geological formations create a one-of-a-kind underwater environment. More advanced excursions extend to Cozumel’s National Marine Park, renowned for its vibrant walls, coral gardens and diverse marine life, with opportunities for bull shark dives in season and historic wreck dives such as the Mama Viña, ensuring memorable underwater adventures for all divers.

Playacar is a desirable resort area within a gated community located in the Riviera Maya, on the south side of Playa del Carmen, in Quintana Roo state, southeasterrn Mexico. The spectacular ruins of Tulum are 87km away and the paradise island of Cozumel can be reached by regular passenger ferry service from the nearby Playa del Carmen ferry terminal. Playacar beach is one of the most premium stretches in the Rivera Maya, its wide expanse leads a sense of tranquility rather than overcrowding. The shallow and calm waters are home to spectacular reefs with their colourful corals, abundance of marine species and the chance to see migrating bull sharks during the months of December to March.

Whilst Mexico has a year-round warm and tropical climate with average air temperatures of 26°c, it has two defined seasons - a wet season and dry season. The dry season runs from November to May with little rainfall and 12 to 14 hours of sunshine per day. The wet season brings humidity and short, sharp tropical rainstorms with September being the wettest month. Mexico's official hurricane season runs from June to November with the highest risk of storms from mid-August through September.

Mexico's waters remain consistently warm throughout the year with the Caribbean sea averaging temperatures between 25°c in winter and 28°c in summer. Visibility is excellent all year round.

Allegro Playacar is conveniently accessed via Cancún International Airport, which serves as the main gateway for international travellers arriving from the UK and other countries. From the airport, guests typically travel by private transfer, shuttle or taxi along the well-maintained highway to Playa del Carmen, a journey of approximately 45–60 minutes, before arriving at the resort located in the secure Playacar district. The resort’s beachfront location allows for a seamless arrival, with luggage assistance and on-site check-in ensuring a smooth and welcoming start to the holiday experience.
