The resort provides direct access to Big La Laguna Beach, where a fully equipped dive centre organises daily boat trips to over 40 nearby dive sites, ranging from shallow reefs to deep walls and drift dives.

The dive experience caters to all levels, from beginners completing their first certification to advanced divers exploring more challenging sites. Marine life is abundant, with frequent sightings of turtles, reef sharks, barracuda, frogfish, nudibranchs, and vibrant coral gardens, making it a popular destination for both fun divers and underwater photographers.

Scandi Divers also offers guided night dives, refresher courses, and full PADI training programmes. With short boat travel times and calm bay conditions, divers can enjoy multiple dives per day while returning easily to the resort between trips for relaxation and equipment preparation.

The Philippines is in the heart of the Pacific and blessed with tropical weather, there are two pronounced seasons, dry and wet. Late October to early June tends to be the most popular time however the critters and marine life are found here year-round. Visibility is around 15-25m, sometimes offering over 30m in certain areas.

Just across the Verde Island passage is where you will find the island of Mindoro and Puerto Galera. Famous for their world class diving these destinations should be on every diver’s bucket list. The sheer diversity is what draws divers to the area hoping for sightings of the many underwater delights such as nudibranch, parrotfish, shrimps, pygmy seahorses, pipefish, large schools of big fish, huge sea fans, white tip sharks, octopus, stunning walls, vibrant reefs, and colourful hard and soft coral. The dive sites at Verde Island are some of the richest in biodiversity and the crystal-clear waters make it every underwater photographer’s dream.

Flights to Manila are available with several leading airlines from multiple international routes, with itineraries arranged to suit travellers’ preferences and schedules. Upon arrival at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, guests are typically transferred to a hotel in Manila for a one-night stopover before continuing their journey to Scandi Divers Resort the following day.

The next morning, guests are transferred by road to Batangas Port, a journey of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. From Batangas, they then continue by boat to Puerto Galera, which takes around 1 hour, bringing the total transfer time to approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.

A visa is not required for entry into the Philippines for many nationalities, allowing for a straightforward arrival process before continuing onward to the resort.
