This journey ventures into a group of islands accessible only by liveaboard for a few short weeks each year, offering near-total seclusion and a rare chance to escape the crowds. The route combines the remote beauty of the Forgotten Islands with the world-class diving of southern Raja Ampat.

As the name suggests, the Forgotten Islands offer a rare and fleeting opportunity for exploration. Accessible for only a few weeks each year due to seasonal wind patterns, these remote islands in the Moluccas stretch across a 1,000-kilometer chain in the eastern Banda Sea.

With in-depth knowledge of this region, the Aurora crew selects the finest dive sites, where guests can expect a mix of dramatic wall dives, current-swept seamounts, and vibrant coral gardens. Marine life encounters may include large schools of bumphead parrotfish, swirling trevallies and barracudas, hunting tuna, and the thrilling possibility of hammerhead and reef sharks.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. After experiencing the solitude of the Forgotten Islands, the voyage continues to the legendary Raja Ampat, culminating in the breathtaking beauty of Misool. Recognized by REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) as the third most species-rich dive site globally, Misool offers a stunning finale to this extraordinary expedition.

Throughout the journey, guests will enjoy crystal-clear waters, tropical beaches, rarely visited reefs, and the exceptional biodiversity that defines one of the richest marine environments on Earth.
