This itinerary combines some of the finest and most iconic dive sites from the Best of Maldives and Hanifaru & North routes, creating a journey that highlights what is often referred to as the Northern Atolls—and it delivers exactly that.
Divers can expect a rich variety of marine life, from reef creatures and vibrant coral formations to abundant macro life, turtles, manta rays, and several shark species. Encounters at cleaning stations allow guests to observe marine life up close without disrupting the natural behavior of these remarkable underwater residents.
In North Male Atoll, guests visit the renowned Lankan Manta Point, Kandu Oiy Giri (also known as the Fish Factory), and the thrilling Finger Point Reef. In North Ari Atoll, highlights include Fish Head, one of the Maldives’ best-known dive sites. For frequent grey reef shark sightings, the itinerary includes Rasdhoo Atoll in North Ari. These 10-night cruises also offer excellent chances of encountering whale sharks and manta rays in South Ari Atoll.
While diving is not permitted within Hanifaru Bay, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, guests are able to snorkel in the lagoon and may witness the incredible sight of feeding mantas. Following their feeding, mantas often visit cleaning stations—so the trip includes stops at known cleaning sites in both North Male and Baa Atoll to maximize opportunities for sightings throughout the week. Although sightings can never be guaranteed, the timing and itinerary offer some of the best chances for unforgettable manta and whale shark encounters.
