ROUTE DETAILS
DAY 1 : Port Ghaleb (Embarkation).
DAY 2 : Sailing to ABU DABAB for 1st dive (check dive), then sailing to ELPHINSTONE for afternoon dive. Sailing at night to DAEDELUS REEF.
DAY 3 : Dive at DAEDELUS REEF morning , mid-afternoon & afternoon. Sailing at night to ROCKY ISLAND.
DAY 4 : Dive at ROCKY ISLAND morning , dive ZABARGAD mid-day & afternoon.
DAY 5 : Dive at ST. JOHNS morning , mid-afternoon. Sailing to White Rock for third dive & overnight.
DAY 6 : Sailing early morning to FURY SHOAL. Dive at FURY SHOAL morning & mid-afternoon & afternoon. Sailing at night to Elphinstone.
DAY 7 : Morning & mid-afternoon dive at Elphinstone, sailing to Port Ghaleb (Disembarkation).
Rocky Island
The sea to the east of Rocky plummets to over 1000m, where large pelagic fish and sharks abound. Hammerheads lurk at around 60m, sometimes shooting for the surface to give divers a mental jolt before disappearing into the deep. Diving here is about finding a good position, then lying in wait. Oceanic whitetips are a common sight as they cruise the waters of this exposed corner along with large shoals, of barracuda, tuna and jacks. Deep canyons chiselled into the drop-offs are covered in some of the most beautiful gorgonians and soft corals seen anywhere in the Red Sea.
